Dear potential horse owner,
Let distance be no barrier. Mine love me across the ocean.
Yours sincerely, Debonairly.
The two-year-old Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott-trained filly was super on debut at Warwick Farm on Wednesday and proved horse owners of any kind, from any place, can enjoy the spoils of victory.
“(Debonairly’s owners are) two business partners from Texas,” Waterhouse and Bott’s stable rep Emma Pearce said.
“It’s their first foray into Australia, so we’re really excited to have a really special filly for them.”
The daughter of Snitzel out of the Singspiel mare Crystal Choir was a $320,000 purchase at the Gold Coast Yealing Sale in Jaunary.
And the spoils may continue with Debonairly, joining stablemates Invincible Star, Madonnica and others as a possible contender for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
“She’s got Magic Millions filly stamped all over her, she jumped and went to the front. I’d like to see that in early January,” Pearce said.
