Flemington Race 3, No 3 RAW IMPULSE - 2nd.
Was a good thing beaten but a much improved run from the Weir trained import. Held up until the 200m where he had to get off heels where he sprouted wings in good time to narrowly go down in the end. If they're backing him up at Sandown or heading to Western Australia then he should be right in the mix again.
Rosehill Race 7, No 3 O'REILLY'S REVENGE - 3rd.
Big effort at cricket score odds after being under pressure a long way out. Five weeks between runs there and fancy he gets a little closer if he wasn't inconvenienced by the winner. Just an honest horse but he loves a firm surface and looks like one that can be peaking soon and pinch a city win now the good ones have been put away.
Doomben Race 8, No 13 PRIVLAKA - 2nd.
Victim of a wide gate and an indecisive ride that went along with it making him 3 deep the trip over the 1350m. Only second up there and he beats Frespanol if he draws a gate. Never gave up and there was a lot to like about the effort. Looks very hard to beat next time out.
Morphettville Parks Race 5, No 1 WASABI BOB - 1st.
