A horse with one of the best (or worst) names in racing will debut on the weekend and is sure to be watched with plenty of interest - from all corners of the globe.
A three-year-old son of Nadeem, Horsey McHorseface, yes, that’s his name, will step out at Kembla Grange on Saturday in a 1000m Maiden.
Although he’s never been to the races, Horsey McHorseface, has earned worldwide acclaim, the Bjorn Baker-trained gelding featuring across media giant CNN last year.
That came about because CNN (which has 33.6 million Twitter followers) had earlier covered the story of the $350 million polar research vessel Boaty McBoatface, which was named after a public poll.
Baker, who trains at Warwick Farm, told G1X.com.au he expects Horsey McHorseface to be competitive on Saturday.
“His trials have been good and he’s in with a chance,” the Warwick Farm trainer said.
“He’ll definitely improve on what he does on Saturday.”
