TERANG - Alex Marsh
Race 10, No 1 SET THE BAR HIGH
Has been runner up in his first three races this prep and drops back to a BM58 today. Form out of his last race has been franked with the Weir runners Storm Harbour and Ransom Money both performing well at Sandown. Draws for the run of the race and he should be too good in this.
Race 7, No 6 FAVONSKI
She was good first up when they ran time and it was a pretty negative ride last start but she still finished off well. Drops in class and should be ready to peak now third up. Right sort of race for her and she’s a good each way price.
TAMWORTH - David Taggart
Race 6, No 3 ROSETTA’S COMET
Just missed last start in a three way go and she should go close again today. Has drawn to do no work and box seat and she also likes the cut out of the ground.
Race 4, No 14 SEBBAG
Must take on trust this horse as he does battle but the wet track brings him right into this. Does draw 1 which may or maybe a hindrance and will race up on the speed. At $10 he isn't the roughest.
SAPPHIRE COAST - David Taggart
Race 6, No 1 LITTLE OFF THE TOP
First up where he has a good fresh record. Was a strong trial winner here a month ago and has won on the soft track. Will race up on the pace and should be to good for these.
Race 7, No 7 SWINDLERS MISS
Blinkers go back on this mare which is a big help and she also gets up to her pet distance where she has won 4 times. Will get back from her gate and look for her late down the outside. She has won in the wet and looks overs at the $12.
MOUNT GAMBIER - Alex Marsh
Race 6, No 1 DOCTOR CARE
Big weight to carry but he was giving 4kg to Another Coldie and La Fleurette in the Donald Cup (both would make a mess of this lot) and was good late in the piece. Third up from a big spell now and expecting him to be good for this field if he holds that form.
MOUNT GAMBIER CUP, No 1 SURVIVED
Looks a 3 horse race between the 1,3 & 5. Survived has won this race twice with big weights and worth forgiving his last start on a Heavy 10. He’ll look to dictate the race from barrier 1 and he should be right in the finish again.
7 year old mare from the Wayne Walters camp in great form and she loves her home track. Comfortably won with 59kg here over 2000m two starts back so she can carry weight and the step back to 1800m is no disadvantage. Good each way bet.
