Promising filly Enchanted Dream will make her anticipated return this Saturday at Belmont Park in a 3YO 64+ Handicap (1200m).
Having won three from five, including the Listed $150,000 3yo Magic Millions, the Pearce stable are hopeful of a breakout preparation in which she will announce herself as a potential horse to follow for the Ascot carnival.
“We’ve always had a good opinion of her, but shin soreness has meant we’ve had to be patient with her” trainer Ben Pearce said.
Her victory in the Magic Millions was made even more impressive with Pearce saying she was already starting to show signs of shin soreness heading into the race.
“We’d noticed some soreness after her win at Pinjarra, but it was not bad enough to miss the Magic Millions”.
“We looked after her leading into the Magic Millions and it was after that race she started feeling her shins badly again”.
It was the second time that the filly by Patronize had gone shine sore. Pearce is hoping that they will now be able to have an uninterrupted preparation and help her go to the next level.
Nominated for the 3YO 1200m event this Saturday, Enchanted Dream will then go to a 3YO Handicap (1300m) a fortnight later in an effort to win some westspeed bonuses.
