MOONEE VALLEY - Shane Templeton
Race 9, No. 4 WISE HERO
On a one the win, three the place basis this very consistent galloper appeals as the bet of the day. He gets back up to 1200 metres and the claim is crucial.
Race 5, No. 3 VIOLENT SNOW
Hit the line hard at her latest run and races very well here. It's an even race but she drops in class, gets in superbly with the 3kg claim and is over the odds at 20/1.

RANDWICK - David Taggart
Race 6, No. 4 SMARTEDGE
Got a pearler of a ride from Shinn to defy the track bias last start for a strong win at Warwick Farm and he can go with it here. Form has come right out the start before and meets a similar if not weaker field to that. Has got his confidence now and he should be winning again.
Race 4, No. 6 DREAMS OF PARIS
In a very tough mares race where a host of them can win this seems to be well over the odds and not without a chance. She got home very well at Canterbury last start and the bigger track and the extra furlong is in her favor. Is at $15 and is worth an each way ticket.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS - Alex Marsh
Race 2, No. 2 EMBECEE LIL
Looks a reasonable price in this very small field for this mare to be a good early bank builder for the day. Fit now after three runs back and should have much finished closer to the winner last start. I think she has a turn of foot that the other three don't and is 1/1 on heavy tracks.
Race 8, No. 6 BOLT I AM
This lightly raced galloper from the David Jolly yard may have the most upside in this. Finally got some racing under his belt with three wins runs this time in and was unlucky last start after erring slightly at the jump. If he can settle closer, he looks an each way special in the last at $8.

DOOMBEN - Rick Morris
Race 1, No. 3 RED STINA
This field of five all came out of the same race last start and Red Stina (third) gave Pumps (second) a fair head start. In this smaller field he does have the sprint to reverse that and get past him. Had previously raced against some smart types and gets a real chance to break through here.
Race 6, No. 4 SCALLOPINI
Scallopini flopped out the gates and struck interference in the straight when beaten favourite behind Italia Balla over 1350 metres. First time at the mile however at the value price of $8 could definitely redeem himself.
