Bjorn Baker nabbed his 100th winner in New South Wales for the season, at Rosehill on Saturday.
And immediately threw down the challenge to his old man.
“I think I’ve levelled up with (dad) Murray and (his co-trainer) Andrew (Forsman) in New Zealand, I think we’ve got 106 (all-up for the season), so I want to make sure I keep kicking and beat them,” he said.
Baker had earlier challenged Tim Clark with success; Clark piloting Collateral to victory in the #TheRaces Hcp (R8), to help his trainer pick up the ton.
“Tim was very confident before the race. I said to him, ‘Jason Collett’s my favourite jockey now so you better catch up to him,’” Baker said.
Clark admitted he got a bit lippy himself on the winning post, letting out a ‘yee-haw’ to good mate Hugh Bowman, who he beat by a half-length.
