Race 1 - (1300 METRES) - DUNLANI - 5th. Trainer: Matt Cumani.

Doubt this was a star studded field but this filly after settling last was the only runner to make much impression from back in the field (first two out were the first two home). Encouraging fresh performance for this daughter of Dundeel who showed enough on debut before being tipped out after her next start and indicative of the breed is taking a little while to mature. Should be able to break through this preparation once she gets over a little more ground.

Race 5 - (1600 METRES) - PIERROCITY - 4th. Trainer: Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young.

Ex-Kiwi mare who's started this preparation in terrific touch beginning with a maiden victory at Ballarat and didn't get a whole of luck here when working early after being a little tardy at the start and unfortunately couldn't get out when she needed to in the straight when stuck behind a few tiring horses in a race where you needed to be building momentum. Still hit the line well and there was clearly an opinion of her back in NZ (4th in a Group 2). With a rating of only 67, she can put a few together rather quickly and looks capable of getting a trip.
