Race 7, No. 10 Top Of The Class
Ran as our bolter last time we were at Ascot and just missed getting us the cash at a big price. Stays in the same grade and distance here, with the big difference being that Pike jumps on board. He'll get back and fingers crossed he's finishing over the top of them.
Race 6, No. 12 Bounce Down
Bit of a speculative value bet here, with this mare having her first start for Trevor Andrews. Don't think she came up last prep, but was still competitive. Knocks into an average race here and looks good value at double figure odds.
Jock Alan Kennedy has enjoyed his time when coming to Ascot this year and so have his followers. He's returned a tidy 120% profit on turnover from his four winners.
Race 3, No. 1 Cognac
Last start winner leading all the way and punters think he can repeat the dose. Opened at as much as $6.50 into $4.60 now.
Leg 1: 2,7
Leg 2: 2,5,6,7,8,9,12
Leg 3: 3,10,12
Leg 4: 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,11
$67 for 20%
Race 1: 5,7,6,4 (Tough race to start proceedings)
Race 2: 14,5,1,4 (I'm always wary of J.Taylor first starters)
Race 3: 5,2,1,10 (A heap of speed in this, should set it up for Pike to finish over the top of them)
Race 4: 2,6,1,4 (Ultra consistent and reliable is Dainty Tess)
Race 5: 7,2,5,1 (Should win)
Race 6: 12,5,2,6 (Best value)
Race 7: 10,12,7,3 (Best Bet)
Race 8: 11,7,8,3 (Looks good value with Pike to ride)
