Race 8, No. 1 NORDIC KING
Just missed last time out when a very short priced favourite. Drops back in grade from a Class 3 to a Class 1, whilst going down half a kilo with the Kirby claim. Not an overly strong race and looks a nice way to finish off the day.
Race 4, No. 6 FREECELL
I thought this guy was really solid first up, when drawing out wide and getting a little too far back in the run to really feature. Draws much more favourably today and this race isn't filled with quality, the race favourite Cape Lady hasn't raced for just under 12 months, which has to be a query. Around $8 is a nice price.
No Pike riding today, which opens up a fair few chances for the other riders. Once jock that is really building some nice momentum is veteran Glenn Smith, widely regarded as one of the best riders in WA, Smith is building back up to some of his best form as he increases his work load. Incredibly, he's ridden 6 winners from his last 8 rides, he has 4 quality rides today.
Race 2, No. 1 FOUR WHITE SOX
Looks an extremely suitable race for this 4yo gelding from the Durrant stable. Opened at $2.60, in to as short as $2.10 now.
Leg 1: 6
Leg 2: 2,3,4,7,9,12
Leg 3: 1,2,6,8,9,10
Leg 4: 1,3,7,8
$72 gets you 50%
Race 1: 11,2,1,5 (I'll be boxing the top 3 selections in a quinella, all look like the 1400m will be ideal for them)
Race 2: 1,8,2,4 (The two Durrant runners look the most likely here)
Race 3: 8,3,6,2 (Any form around Fabergino is good form)
Race 4: 6,5,1,2 (Looks a nice each way price)
Race 5: 6,1,2,4 (Looks a nice race for Sophia's Secret to get back on the winners list)
Race 6: 9,4,3,2 (Racing in great form, draw is a worry but each way odds available)
Race 7: 2,1,6,3 (Hasn't seen a race like this in a long time, should go close)
Race 8: 1,3,7,8 (Best Bet)
