No. 4 GRACIDA beat subsequent winner Khaleesi by 1.5L last start when resuming after leading throughout from barrier 10 over 1110m here on February 17. He looks beautifully placed to win this event from the inside draw with just 55kg on his back after Matthew McGillivray’s claim. No. 6 High Cost went close to toppling Oberland last start when beaten a short neck over this distance in a 3YO Open at the same meeting. He will probably park outside the leader from gate nine. No. 2 Gherardini drops back to her right grade after finding Saturday competition too stiff. She should get a lovely run behind the speed from gate five. No. 5 American Spirit should also get a lovely cart into the race and if the leaders falter she will be there to pounce.
80-unit win bet on No.4 Gracida top tote. 20-unit saver on No.6 High Cost at $9 fixed.
No. 3 LITTLE WHITE was very good last start in running third to Binalong Road over this course in a Saturday RS0MW race. He was blocked for a run that day but hit the line well. From barrier one I can imagine he will be positioned midfield on the fence and looking for a split as they fan off the turn. There's a little query about him in the wet, as he has only had one try on soft going and finished unplaced. No. 13 Dee Nine Elle will strip fitter for her resuming effort behind Quatronic and is unbeaten at this distance. She too should get a nice run in transit from barrier five. No. 6 Bedisguised has QLD's leading jockey engaged and that value can’t be underestimated in apprentice-only races where some jockeys have had only a handful of rides in the city. This Bel Esprit gelding has been close to a win in all three runs this prep.
60-unit win bet on No. 3 Little White. 40-unit win bet on No. 13 Dee Nine Elle.
Going for some value in the last leg of the quaddie. No. 10 JOBIWOOD comes out of a pretty hot form race at the Gold Coast last start. Profiler won that and then won the Country Championship qualifier at Grafton with 59kg, and Liberation ran second before blitzing them in here at Doomben last Saturday. No. 3 Boris Badenov was hampered at the start when beaten favourite at the Gold Coast last run. Prior start at Beaudesert he downed My Little Flicka, who has won three on end since then and is entered in the $100,000 Gold Coast Stakes on Saturday. No. 4 Pantheress handles the wet well and lokos ready for the step to 1200m after two runs this time in.
