Race 6, No. 6 MALVERN ESTATE
Malvern Estate looks cherry ripe after finishing off well when a close second to Spurcraft. They ran record time over 1100m and this gelding was doing his best work late. Drops a kilo, has a good a gate so should position third or fourth in the run and gain a break on them in the straight. Should be at a backable price and will be too good.
Race 7, No. 8 CONTRALTO
Was a gallant second in the Mothers Gift at Grafton and now looks primed for the mile. In what is a pretty open race she gets in on the minimum (54kgs) and can get up here at a nice price. Jim Byrne to ride at $11.
It's early in the season though David Vandyke has trained 3 winners from 4 starters in metro Queensland. He has just the one starter in our market mover Bargannon.
Race 8, No. 8 BARGANNON
Always pays to watch a mover from the David Vandyke stable. $6.50 into $4.80.

Race 1: 2,5,9,6. My Girl Hayley finished third behind Spurcraft in record time. Better suited to up to 1200 metres here.
Race 2: 1,3,4,5. Ef Troop appears to have come back in great fashion after a comfortable trial win.
Race 3: 3,4,7,2. Rhyme Nor Rythym was wide throughout last run. Start prior was strong late and will be getting home hard again.
Race 4: 6,11,3,7. There might be bigger fish to fry for Mediterranean who lost his valuables before winning first up in March. Fresh again looks the one to beat.
Race 5: 5,3,4,9. The speed will be the key here. Tumultuous with the right sit can get over the top of them.
Race 6: 6,3,8,7. Best Bet Malvern Estate.
Race 7: 8,9,6,2. Value bet. Contralto.
Race 8: 13,11,3,8. I Am Impinge looks better suited back in distance and down in grade.
Race 9: 12,3,2,9. Francisca will be fitter for a first up run and has won second up before. Will be finishing hard.
