Race 5, No. 3 LEGEND OF CONDOR
Much improved effort last start and brings the best form to this race when you look at his runs around Lean Mean Machine and Santos in the autumn. This may have been a target race as this Gerald Ryan trained 3yo is eligible for that extra Vobis cash that's on offer today.
Race 3, No. 4 SUNCRAZE
Huge price of $15 for a horse that has only missed a drum 3 times from 17 runs. Is better suited on top of the ground and the Trekking form from a listed race has held up. Should be stalking the favorite throughout the race and have the last crack at it.
The oldest winner of the cup has been an 8yo back in 1934, so Who Shot The Barman can't win. Lloyd Williams is going for his 7th Cup.
Race 5, No. 10 FEARED EYES
Has been a very big go for this after a solid maiden win on debut. Opened $34 and is now into $7.
Leg 1: 3,5,6,9,10,11,22,23
Leg 2: 2,11,14
Leg 3: 1,5,6,13
Leg 4: 1,4,7,15
$192 gets 50%.
Race 1: 1-11-6-9. Flew home from last in the Debutant Stks for a solid win. Keep an eye on the market with the first starters.
Race 2: 5-1-8-11. Honest mare that never runs a bad race. Draws well to get the soft run throughout.
Race 3: 4-10-9-8. Value see above.
Race 4: 1-5-3-10. Drops in grade and stays as he won the Ramsden in the Autumn. Huge price of 20/1.
Race 5: 3-8-1-2. Will find this easier than previous runs and is better off on top of the ground.
Race 6: 12-5-9-2. Draws bad again but did stick on well in the G1 Thousand Guineas after racing wide from a bad gate.
Race 7: 3-22-11-10. I like the fact Corey Brown was booked for the ride 3 months out from the race and we know he will get the trip.
Race 8: 2-11-14-3. Wasn't far away at the Valley in a stronger race and comes right into this if Zahspeed runs them along.
Race 9: 6-5-1-13. Had no luck last start when got in all sorts of trouble.
Race 10: 4-7-1-15. Has had a run down here and draws perfectly in 2. Good track is a plus.
