Race 1, No. 1 GO THE JOURNEY
Collared late by Casino Wizard first up. Certainly no shame in losing to him and he comfortably accounted for Steel Frost who had some very good recent form behind him. Has won two from four second up and will put himself into the race early in this small field. Drops in grade and looks hard to beat in the opener.
Race 6, No. 1 TUNES
Lining up for his 100th start today and look as though he's a found a pretty narrow even for his milestone. Still going well although I think they've been a little too pretty on him of late. Would like to see Wong be positive, get him rolling earlier and turn this into a staying test. Each way at $8.
Paul Gatt is striking at 22% here at Gawler this season and he has 5 rides today.
Race 2, No. 5 SCARECROW
Started a $1.40 on debut and was beaten 3 lengths before being tipped out. Back as a gelding and off the back of two trials this McEvoy trained runner has been backed from $6 into $2.70.
Leg 1: 1,3,8,12,15
Leg 2: 1,2,4,8
Leg 3: 6,8
Leg 4: 4,8,11
$60 gets you 50%
Race 1: 1-4-3-2. Best Bet see above.
Race 2: 5-1-11-2. Might be worth following the money here.
Race 3: 5-4-2-1. El Desperado peaked late first up and will appreciate the extra trip today.
Race 4: 2-7-3-8. Ace Attack is running out of excuses if he can't win here.
Race 5: 8-3-12-15. Bit of a raffle. Form out of Good Luck Chuck's maiden romp has been okay, though.
Race 6: 1-4-8-2. Best Value see above.
Race 7: 8-6-7-3. Looks well placed Don't We Love It for Yendall/Weir and he should get the last look at them.
Race 8: 8-11-4-13. Miss Cuoco grows another leg at Gawler and this isn't any harder to what she beat last start. Markets might tell us more with her.
