Race 2, No. 1 HEAVEN'S DEAL
Bolted in her last start in Adelaide before a good effort third up down the straight when crossing the border for a sprint on Cup day on a wet track and had has a little freshen up since. Already a listed winner over this track and trip, gets some relief with the 2kg claim and on times, she looks far too sharp for this lot.
Race 7, No. 8 MAZUREK
There's obviously an opinion of this mare. First up into a listed race where she missed the start, won the sprint on Murray Bridge Cup day then last start was midfield and not disgraced in a G3 up the straight on Derby Day. No standouts here in the feature, she may be able to lead and give cheek at around 20/1.
Darren Weir is safely leading the way in the training ranks at Morphettville this season with 11 winners so far at a strike of close to 27%. He has 4 runners in at this meeting.
Race 6, No. 2 CASHED
No major moves yet but there's been a nibble for this veteran at a price and the roughie of the field in Race 3, No. 6 Splash Some Cash.
Leg 1: 1,3,5
Leg 2: 1,2,3,4,5,6
Leg 3: 1,2,5,6,7,8,12
Leg 4: 5
$63 gets you 50%.
Race 1: 2-3-1-4. These staying races can throw up anything but he is the proven runner of the field that's dropping in class. Bolted in last time in Adelaide in a similar race.
Race 2: 1-3-5-6. Best Bet see above.
Race 3: 5-4-2-1. The value in this small field at $7.50. On the back-up where she got home well last week, is back against the 3yo's here and looks to be crying out for this trip.
Race 4: 3-4-1-6. Is the one tough horse in the field that is hard fit now and flogged a good one in Tatoosh last start. Short but should be going on with it.
Race 5: 1-5-3-4. Good fresh in a better race over here, flat second up and got home okay at the Valley at his latest. He's a hard one to trust but fits the Weir profile well stepping up in trip.
Race 6: 2-4-3-1. Any of these in the small field could win but suspect Cashed is probably overs at $8. Good fresh effort, generally takes a run and has a good record on the main track.
Race 7: 8-1-6-7. Bolter see above.
Race 8: 5-8-2-6. Charossa has ability and it was fighting first up win which he should improve off. Stays in this class and only carries 54.5kg after the claim.
