  • Rail Position: Out 6m Entire, Sectional 608m.
  • Track Conditions: Good 4.
  • Track Comments: Back on ther main track and when it's in the good range, it generally plays fair.

Broke through in style last start at Gawler by 7.5 lengths in a race that rated very well for the day and the second horse franked that form when bolting in himself last week. This is obviously a new challenge but just looks up against a field of plodders really and is perfectly placed to win 2 in a row.

Race 5, No. 3 SWISS DESIGN

5yo resuming off one trial where he looked rather forward and went as well as anything in the hit-out under no riding. Capable type that can run a race fresh, they should go like scalded cats here and he draws to sit just off the speedsters. At the $15, I'm having something on each way in a competitive race.

Darren Weir is leading the way on the main circuit this season with 6 winners from his 26 starters and looks to have a strong hand at this meeting with runners entered in 5 of the 8 races on the card.

Race 6, No. 6 SPLIT LIP

Was a better run than 14th suggested at Caulfield first up and there's been early money to suggest she'll improve here dropping well in grade ($6.00-$4.80).

Leg 1: 1,3,7,14

Leg 2: 9,11

Leg 3: 2,10,12

Leg 4: 5,9,10,14,17

$60 gets you 50%.

Race 1: 10-2-5-7. The $31 for Sunmate might not be the worst as a blow-out (zero luck last Wednesday and blinkers go on) but have settled with Wrecking Crew resuming. The two he split in that trial were very impressive last start winners.

Race 2: 9-1-4-7. Best Bet see above.

Race 3: 3-6-7-8. Caught the eye when flashing home at Mornington and this race doesn't have that depth. Step up to the mile and the bigger track look positives too.

Race 4: 1-7-6-3. Not the easiest horse to trust but does appear as the obvious and should be getting the job done here if he's going to a Derby.

Race 5: 3-7-1-14. Bolter see above.

Race 6: 11-9-2-6. Worth forgiving the last start whe he got cluttered up and I actually think the wider gate suits him better as he does take a bit of winding up. Very talented galloper when on.

Race 7: 10-2-12-1. Worth another chance at $6 here second up as she should get a bit more cover having drawn in a more and might've needed that hit-out fresh.

Race 8: 17-5-9-10. Hopefully we've made our money by now as this is an absolute lottery to finish the day. It's A Myth was a forgive last start, though.
