Race 3, No. 0

Zabeel filly No. 12 ZASORCERESS gets the much-needed blinkers on and will be at better odds than she has been at her past two runs. Also, Nick Hall goes back on. He rode her in an impressive trial win and when she was a luckless, closing fourth at Hillside two starts back. No. 9 Quilate will be favourite and is the obvious danger. She split the males, Big Knight and Jungle Sun at Hillside on February 24. Jungle Sun broke through for his maiden win yesterday. No. 11 Vandancer and Zasorceress' stablemate No. 10 Tradie Lady both ran well here over 1400m in February and both will be suited by the extra distance.

Race 4, No. 0

No. 4 OUR BOY LEO is race fit and ready to win. Second-up over 1200m at Ballarat on February 21, he began well but from a wide gate drifted back to settle near the rear. He ran on really well for fourth and the step up to 1400m is ideal for him. No. 3 Freedoms returns to racing as a gelding. He has always shown potential and looked sharp in a recent jump out at Caulfield. No. 9 Nakataan is also resuming from a spell. She is a Zabeel mare who has been placed second three times, including one when she was first up at Lakeside, coming from well back and just missing. No. 1 Bian Late ran home powerfully here over an unsuitable 1200m first up on February 25.

Race 8, No. 0

No. 2 TANSY is dropping back from a 96 level race at Flemington down the straight 1200 m where he finished seventh to to the talented Who's Got This, after running second to the same horse at Caulfield on New Year's Day. At Flemington, he was on the slower side of the track and down there was second home behind Onerous. He is well suited in this. No. 3 Spirit Or Lager was cramped for galloping room when third to No. 1 Fast Cash at Sandown. Both will be competitive again. No. 8 Pathways is a fit, smart mare coming of a decent fourth in the Sale Quality. Like Tansy, she is down in grade. No. 6 Staviva resumes from a spell and has trialled well at Cranbourne. Two of his four wins have been when first up.
