Race 3, No. 2 FUTURE SCORE
Good at Pakenham on his Australian debut and the second up effort was full of merit given how the race was run up front with the first 3 out being the first 3 home and he was exactly where you didn't want to be; back, wide and had to go early to try blend in. Looking for Oliver to take closer order from barrier 2 today
Race 6, No. 3 MELVEEN
Some excuses second up off a big break at Werribee but still got home fairly where the first two home dictated and wasn't suited at the Valley. Drops back against her own sex, she did show ability in that first prep and whilst speculative at 30/1, isn't hopeless and could run a race here in a rather open event.
Including riding a double here on Feb 20, Damien Oliver has been striking at around 27% since then and is amongst the leading hoops on Hillside so far this season with 6 winners. He has 4 rides today.
Race 6, No. 6 CROSS LEGEND
Awful fresh in a winnable race for her but it was a much improved effort at Pakenham behind what looks a progressive filly and has been very well backed early here at a price ($10.00 - $4.80).
Leg 1: 6
Leg 2: 2,3,4,5,6,7,14,15
Leg 3: 3,4,5,9
Leg 4: 1,2,8,9
$64 gets you 50%.
Race 1: 7-6-9-4. Tough opener but he did have some excuses at Sale second up as a beaten short fav, getting up to his right trip now and that winner bolted in at Echuca again yesterday.
Race 2: 4-2-3-6. I Can Stay All Day is going well enough but I feel this is the sort of race you could run half a dozen times and can get 6 separate winners.
Race 3: 2-7-10-13. Best Bet see above.
Race 4: 7-1-2-3. Was scratched from a few tougher line-ups last week and the form around Rockarral and The Delphi out of her last start reads well for a BM64.
Race 5: 6-2-1-7. Short but should be far too good for these resuming. Placed behind Smart Melody fresh in the spring and this girl looks a group class filly off what she's shown so far.
Race 6: 3-5-6-2. Bolter see above.
Race 7: 5-3-4-9. Freshened up. Very tough win first up then should've won here at his latest whilst the form has stood up around the other placegetters in that.
Race 8: 1-2-8-9. Odd line-up where they are mainly stayers over 7 furlongs. Danon Roman did race in much better company in his prep here and did look forward in his recent jump-out.
