Race 5, No. 2 WITH GRAVY
Always showed some ability and looks ready to put it together now following a second up romp here over the 1200m. Drawn a little sticky but may roll forward anyway at this trip anyway and Crowther has an advantage over the other apprentices given she has a winning association on this galloper. Loves racing at Strathalbyn and looks the one to beat.
Race 7, No. 6 LANDOWNER
This locally trained 4yo returns today and whilst he has a poor winning strike rate, he has ran around some handy gallopers in that time. In a race with little depth outside the two favs and they may be forced to work from their wide alleys, he's always thereabouts on his home track and looks a decent each way price at $10.
Always have to respect the locals at Strathalbyn. Grant Kluske (26.3%), Emma Hubbard (23.1%) and Brian Mueller (22.7%) all have very healthy winning strike rates on their home decks this season.
Race 6, No. 5 SANIMA STAR
Very unlucky at Gawler and was ticking over well in her previous two starts. Drops in grade and has been met with some early support. $6.50 into $4.80. Another big watch on Race 3, No. 1 Apollo Jet who's been absolutely smoked in the early betting.
Leg 1: 2
Leg 2: 1,2,4,5,7,8,9
Leg 3: 1,4,5,6
Leg 4: 1,2,4
$42 gets you 50%.
Race 1: 4-6-5-2. Tricky little race. Texas Miller was fair on debut and can improve off that.
Race 2: 5-11-10-9. He's starting to get costly but I'm giving him another chance stepping out to this trip.
Race 3: 8-1-7-11. Betting might tell us more here. His form from last prep is probably good enough to pinch this.
Race 4: 7-5-4-3. Very competitive race. Jamie Kah may be the lead jumping off the fav?
Race 5: 2-6-5-7. Best Bet see above.
Race 6: 5-2-1-4. Open race but she was unlucky at Gawler. Drops in grade and gets a senior jockey on today.
Race 7: 6-1-5-4. Bolter see above.
Race 8: 1-4-2-9. Should get a gun run on speed and is well placed here with the 3kg claim.
