Race 7, No. 8 PRESSWAY
Fitter now and although Mr Markou will give him something to chase this gelding is getting out to a more suitable trip and it really is his race to lose. Hammersley should be able to tuck him in behind the pace and produce him when it counts.
Race 3, No. 1 SLAUGHTER BAY
Finished off well last start for second over 1690 metres at Ipswich and third up today looks ready to go again and pull out a big run. Gets a 3 kilo claim from Boris Thornton and if able to slot in from gate 8 he is right in this maiden. $13 is way overs in my book.
He's been in the news a bit of late but Ben Currie's record at his home training base of Toowoomba is right up there with a 30% win strike rate this season. Currie has 7 runners across the card today.
Race 1, No. 1 ADDOCARR
$3 onto $2.30 taking over favouritism is a good lead on this colts chances.
Leg 1: 1,2
Leg 2: 1,2,3,4,7
Leg 3: 8
Leg 4: 1,3,7,8,12,13
$60 gets you 100%
Race 1: 1,3,8,7. Close match up with Phoenix Global (blinkers on) and Addocar finishing together on debut. Addocarr looked as though the extra distance suit.
Race 2: 3,4,7,5 Get Stuck In raced wide on debut so forgive that and go on a couple of trial wins prior.
Race 3: 1,3,8,6 Value Bet. Slaughter Bay
Race 4: 9,4,3,8 Appears to be a race in two. Protest does get a big drop in class from competing in the Queensland Oaks behind Youngstar. Prior to that was a game second behind Evolo.
Race 5: 2,1,7,6 Natch did miss the start at Ipswich and with the right run can make amends. Another race in two.
Race 6: 3,1,5,2 The filly Ti Amo is giving weight to the mares. Fox Force Five may improve further from her nice first up third here.
Race 7: 8,1,3,2. Best Bet. Pressway.
Race 8: 8,7,1,12. Though he has just missed in his last 3 starts, Brains has chased hard and Jim Byrne should be clever enough to be able to steer him home.
