No.1 OUR LITTLE MIRACLE didn’t quite measure up when raced in Sydney with trainer Chris Waller but her eight placings from 18 starts in significantly tougher company bodes well for her up in this part of the world. Leading rider Adrian Coombe is engaged and you won’t get flash odds but she should be far too classy for these. No.4 Concluder has been shipped north from Adelaide after a barrier trial win at Murray Bridge. No.14 Raining Dollars has been honest and has claims from a better draw here after placing 3.6L third to Hopefully Good from barrier nine over this course last start. No.7 Lach’s Pocket is a naturally speedy type who wasn’t strong enough to match them around the provincial tracks in Queensland in first prep. Resumed for new stable with a third at Mt Isa carrying 59.5kg and the big drop in weights here gives him some hope of running out 1000m. No.5 Cut ‘N’ Polish can be considered in multiples after a fair first prep around Cairns.
100 unit win bet on No.1 Our Little Miracle.
No.1 MAURIZIO usually races well fresh and is first-up here off a 26-week spell. He has drawn to advantage in gate one and gets 2kg weight relief after Chelsea Jokic’s claim. No.3 Better Call Saul has been thereabouts without winning at his past few starts and they are keeping fresh now and restricting him to the short course distance. No.2 Zindzela returns to John Manzelmann now after a couple of runs in the care of Tony Gollan in town. She failed on a heavy track last time but she wasn’t disgraced in two tougher company races over 1200m and 1350m prior. Back to 1000m is a slight worry here, but she has had 33 days between runs and not many in this race would have matched up in town like she did. No.6 Royal Physician has been knocking on the door of another win and should not be underestimated from barrier two.
70 unit win bet on No.1 Maurizio. 30 unit boxed quinella with 1,2,3,6.
No.2 JAMALKA is an in-form mare who ran into smart winner Shekou last start in this grade after winning prior start at BM60 level over this course. No.3 Stop Crying gets up to this distance for the first time this preparation and she will take holding out with Ashley Butler in the irons from barrier three. No.1 Aldren is a local stayer resuming over the mile and he has a fondness for his home turf. He could prove to be the value chance for multiple players. Local trainer Alby Molino has a perfect record of two starts for two wins with No.6 Coronation Journey after the mare took 24 starts to break her maiden tag with former stable. She has won at $18 and $19 and if she makes it three on end they will rename the grandstand in her honour.
80 unit win bet on No.2 Jamalka. 20 unit win bet on No.3 Stop Crying.
