HEAT 4 – 750m
DIG A PONY returns to the jumpouts after being scratched at Flemington on Saturday, March 12 due to being fractious and rearing in the barriers. She appeared to do everything well, jumping smartly before settling. Asked for an effort in the straight and extended well. Clearly ready to race but a pleasing trial.
HEAT 5 – 750m
Fascinating heat this with PASADENA GIRL returning after standing in the barriers on Super Saturday, March 12. She jumped well here and finished off smartly under plenty of riding. Had a serious hitout through the line and went pleasingly. INVINCIBLE HEART shared the lead and found when asked to score. Nice effort. The pick from this heat may have been IRADA who showed nice speed to lead. The 3YO filly hasn’t won for some time but she cruised around under minimal pressure and put in a good performance here.
HEAT 9 – 750m
Interesting trial with the progressive ANDRIOLI, JERSEY GIRL and MEFNOODA stepping out along with the talented 4YO mare, KANSAS SUNFLOWER. Clearly the fastest heat of the morning here, all set up by JERSEY GIRL who showed an abundance of speed, opening up a big break on the field. This lightly raced 4YO mare won in very nice fashion.
