Race 6 – (1100 METRES) – GYTRASH – 2nd. Trainer: Gordon Richards.
Probably the black book selection of the whole card this now 4yo sprinter who just keeps taking that next step up with each run and if it wasn’t for the tardy getaway (which isn’t common with him), he gets the chocolates. Powerful finish where he was ahead of the winner 50m after the line, he’s very genuine and one of the more progressive sprinters in the country.
Race 8 – (1200 METRES) – RANIER – 3rd. Trainer: James Cummings.
A slow build up to this campaign but with a good level of fitness, he is capable as he did show last spring once getting to 1400m-1600m. Was strong through the line strongly in the worst going albeit finding the 1200m too sharp (especially given his start) but should only improve from now on as the he gets over more ground.
